Updated rates of Rooftop solar Subsidy by the central government

Union government ministry has announced an increase in subsidy for rooftop solar projects which is very important news for those who have taken up solar installation services. Currently, there are different slabs and the new rates will be applicable for the undertaken project. As per the new notification central financial assistance will grant ₹18, 000 per KW for residential solar rooftop between 1-3KW capacities. With the revision of the grant any consumer applying for subsidy will be eligible for the subsidy. The officials have revised the rates for rooftop solar projects between 3KW and 10KW from

₹ 7,294/KW to ₹ 9000/KW For special status the subsidy for residential rooftop projects between 1 to 3 KW stands at ₹ 20000 and for the project above 3 KW to 10 KW the subsidy will be 10000. IT also added that for the residential welfare association for common facilities up to 500 KW with a ceiling of 10 KW will give a grant of ₹ 9000/KW, and ₹ 10000 for special states.  In the North East some special states such rates are applicable including Sikkim, Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh, and UTs – Jammu and Kashmir (J&K). Ladakh, Lakshadweep, and Andaman & Nicobar Islands
